ALMOST THERE…
All the parts for Volume Two have now been tracked. Joshua Grierson did an awesome job on the 4 songs he sings on. For those keeping track, Volume Two will have 4 songs with vocals and 3 instrumentals that will form a 7 song EP. Now the next step for me is to get them to Ruan Jordaan to be mixed and mastered as soon as possible.
While my two main writing guitars are in to get serviced I almost forgot about this one, so I picked it up and started to relearn a metal track I wrote last year that is going to be completed with the help of a friend. I’ll talk more about it when there are any new developments.
Had a super awesome recording session today and finished the instrumentals for the first song of Volume 3.
Currently reading “Life”, the Keith Richards autobiography. Good read if you’re a guitar player that wants to know what influenced one the most recognisable names in Rock.
It feels good to write a song in 15 minutes but even better when you finally figure one out after 3 months :)
It was awesome to be in the crowd with my friend Anton this past Saturday at Metal 4 Africa Summerfest 2012 and see Ruan Jordaan who handles the mixing and mastering of the R.O.F.S. songs play guitar on stage with his band Megalodon. This was their first official live performance and the venue was packed and boiling with metal fans just ready to let loose. The mosh pit was intense and the wall of death towards the end was just insane. Hope to see them live again soon.
